Desert Canyon Golf Neighborhood
The Desert Canyon Golf Neighborhood is an assemblage of many neighborhoods of primarily larger homesites perched along ridgelines withstunning mountain views. Homes in the area are generally large, elegant and of timeless architecture. The echoes of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture can often be found along the rolling hillsides, harkening to a time when students of the great master lived within the neighborhoods–many still do!
Fountain Hills’ first golf course, The Desert Canyon Golf Club, occupies a prominent hilltop overlooking the Verde Valley and the eastern mountain ranges of the Mazatzal, Goldfield and Superstition Mountains. The golf course is a true desert mountain layout that features scenery equal to that of the finest golf courses in the area. Spectacular mountain backdrops are featured from sculpted tees and fairways that wind around high desert barrancas and arroyos – and play to large, well-conditioned putting surfaces. Pick out a hole and check out the view – this is why you love Arizona! The Desert Canyon Steak House and the players lounge at Desert Canyon provide a great neighborhood meeting place for the residents of the area. In 2011, Desert Canyon Golf Club celebrates it’s 40th Anniversary, yet the facility is as contemporary and beautiful as ever!
