This July, discover the power of play and adventure. It’s National Parks and Recreation Month, and for anyone who loves being outdoors, this month is for you. The Town of Fountain Hills wants you to “Get Your Play On.” Whether it’s summer camp, an adult sports league, exploring a trail, meeting friends on the playground, playing cards in the park, or discovering nature — parks and play go hand in hand. Here are three ways that you can celebrate Parks and Recreation Month in Fountain Hills:
1.Celebrate the Fourth of July at the Fountain
Put on your patriotic best and take the family to Fountain Park on Tuesday, July 4th to celebrate our nation’s 242nd birthday. The celebration kicks off at 5:00 pm with music, games, kid’s entertainment, and a wide variety of food. The night will be capped off with a majestic firework display over the park’s beautiful lake. There is no better place to celebrate America than in one the of most beautiful places in the United States-our own Fountain Hills.
2. Head Over to Four Peaks Park to Enjoy Wacky Wet Wednesdays
Come on over to Four Peaks Park, to enjoy some fun in the sun. Bring the family to have a good time splashing around in the sprinklers and being sprayed by the Fountain Hills Fire Department. This is a great way to spend a Wednesday afternoon to cool down and enjoy the beautiful outdoors in Four Peaks Park on July 11th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
3.Party in the Park with The Fountain Hills Community Services and MCSO
The Town of Fountain Hills Community Services Department and the Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office would like to invite teens to participate in their Summer Party in the Park on July 12th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Golden Eagle Park. There will be a variety of games, music, and fun.
