It is commonly understood in the real estate industry that former teachers—especially good ones–make the best Realtors. Among other things, they are patient, nurturing, and very detail oriented. These are the characteristics that have enabled Mary Day to provide the excellent service to her clients they have enjoyed for over 27 years.
Mary earned her BS from Ball State University in Indiana and a Master’s in Education from Boston University. She enjoyed a teaching career that spanned more than two decades and 5 states as she followed her husband Allen’s air force career. In 1979, Allen’s career took him to Luke Air Force Base, and the family—who by then included sons Allen, Jr. and Andrew—decided to make Arizona their home. In 1985, they discovered Fountain Hills and adopted it quickly as their home town. Both sons are University of Arizona graduates.
After retiring from teaching, Mary combined her considerable teaching skills and her extensive knowledge of the moving process (22 times in 20 years!) to a new real estate career. Her clients were definitely the beneficiaries of her caring and detail oriented nature, and many have become life-long friends since she started with The Anderson Group Realtors in her early career. Continuing her educational endeavors, Mary has achieved several important industry designations, including the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), the SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) and RSPS (Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist).
Married to Allen over 50 years, they now enjoy family and traveling. Son, Allen and wife Dawn live in Connecticut with granddaughter, Celine and son, Adam, 4 years old. Andrew resides in Arizona and has one son, Phoenix. You can find Mary at Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate. Call her at 602-619-8810 or email at Armcday@cox.net
