The creatures of the night will rule Fountain Hills— Tuesday, October 31, from 4pm-8pm—when the Town of Fountain Hills will shut down traffic on the Avenue of the Fountains, and open it up to ghouls and goblins.
Now 10 years running, Halloween in the Hills offers fun and safety for the entire family…including pets. Over 40 local businesses owners have created unique carnival games that will be free for children and family members to play. All booths will have fun games or contests for kids to win candy and prizes.
Halloween in the Hills also offers two great costume contests for any member of the family sponsored by Sami Fine Jewelry and Steadfast Construction. The “Pets and Their People” costume contest is always a highlight of the evening, and will begin promptly at 5:45pm. Any pet tame enough to wear a costume can be entered in the contest. Registration begins at 5:15 pm, and participation is free. Prizes are sponsored by local businesses.
The other entertaining contest is “Best Kids Costume.” At 6:30 pm, watch your kids strut their stuff across the stage showing off their favorite costumes. Registration begins at 6:00 pm, and participation is free for children 18 years and under. Both contests will be on the Center Stage at the intersection of Avenue of the Fountains and Verde River Drive in front of Chase Bank.
What Halloween would be complete without Zombies? The Jazzercize groupies of Fountain Hills will show off their Thriller Dance Moves. Dance lessons begin at 5:00 pm at the center stage. All adults and children are welcome.
The ever-growing “Spider Village” in the Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate courtyard is scary fun for all ages. Starting at 4:00 pm, Charlotte, the friendly spider, invites little goblins into her webby world to wind through the haunted maze to find their treats, a fun-filled haunted experience for young and old alike!
