Fountain Hills Community Garden Plant Sale and February Classes

Spring is almost here in Fountain Hills, and with the average last frost date around February 15, this is the ideal time to start planning your garden beds and patio planters. Whether you are new to gardening or a seasoned grower, the Fountain Hills Community Garden is helping residents get growing with its annual Plant & Seed Sale and February educational events.

2026 Plant & Seed Sale — Rain or Shine

The Fountain Hills Community Garden Plant & Seed Sale offers more than 2,500 plants grown and selected for local conditions. Shoppers will find flowers, vegetables, herbs, and ornamentals suitable for backyard beds and container gardens.

Plant Sale Dates:

·         Friday, February 6 — 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

·         Saturday, February 7 — 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

·         Saturday, February 14 — 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Additional pop-up sales may be announced.

Inventory and Pricing:

·         $10 per gallon pot (tomatoes and larger plants)

·         $6 per mid-size pot (larger flowers and vegetables)

·         $4 per 4″x4″ pot (regular flowers and vegetables)

About the Fountain Hills Community Garden

The Fountain Hills Community Garden serves as an educational hub and gathering place where residents learn sustainable gardening, grow organic produce, and build community connections. The space offers opportunities for children, adults, and seniors to engage with nature, support health, and learn valuable skills.

Mission and Impact:

  • Organic produce grown and donated to food banks, shelters, and local families.
  • Master Gardeners and volunteers offer support in composting, water conservation, and progressive gardening techniques.
  • Students gain experience through project-based learning.
  • Seniors and adults benefit from outdoor activity and social connection.

Garden Features:

  • 130 leased garden beds (including 6 ADA-accessible beds)
  • 4 food bank donation beds
  • Greenhouse and work area
  • Beehive
  • 6 compost bins
  • Shaded pavilion and farm-to-table demonstration area

The Garden is located in the center of Fountain Hills, adjacent to the Town Library, Community Center, and Town Hall, making participation convenient for residents.

February Classes and Events

In addition to the plant sale, the Fountain Hills Community Garden hosts monthly workshops to help gardeners of all levels thrive in local conditions.
