Start the Day with the Turkey Trot 5K
Before the parade begins, locals and visitors alike gather for the annual Turkey Trot, a family-friendly 5K run or walk through scenic Fountain Hills. It’s a fun, energetic way to start your morning and burn a few calories before the big feast. Runners, walkers, kids, and strollers are welcome it’s truly a community event for all ages!

Since 1984, the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce has hosted this classic hometown parade, now one of Arizona’s longest-running Thanksgiving traditions. Each year, the parade draws spectators from across the state, ready to celebrate with floats, marching bands, local businesses, veterans’ groups, dance teams, and festive performances.
This year’s theme, “The Greatest Show,” invites colorful, circus-inspired floats and costumes, making it one of the most exciting parades yet!
And don’t leave early… because the grand finale is none other than Santa Claus himself, making his first appearance of the season in Fountain Hills!
