Oktoberfest 2024 in Fountain Hills: A Celebration of German Tradition and Community Spirit

This fall, the Four Peaks Rotary Club is continuing the Fountain Hills tradition by hosting the much-anticipated Oktoberfest 2024. Known for being one of the few authentic German celebrations in the Valley, this year's event promises even more excitement and community spirit. Join in the fun on  September 27 and 28 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Centennial Circle next to the Fountain Hills Community Center for two nights of fun, food, and festivity.

Event Highlights

  • Opening Ceremony: The festivities will kick off on Friday, September 27, with an official keg tapping ceremony at 5:00 p.m. led by Mayor Ginnie Dickey. This time-honored tradition sets the tone for a weekend filled with authentic German culture.
  • Live Music: Enjoy performances by Die Echten Waldbaum, a band direct from Germany, as they bring the lively spirit of Oktoberfest to life with traditional tunes and dance-worthy beats both nights.
  • Delicious German Cuisine: Indulge in a variety of authentic German dishes available for purchase, including bratwursts, schnitzels, apple strudel, and home-made potato pancakes. Of course, no Oktoberfest is complete without the famous German pretzels! And for beer enthusiasts, this year’s brew will be Hofbräu by Hofbrauhaus, a Munich-based brewery with a rich history dating back to 1589.

Family-Friendly Fun

Oktoberfest in Fountain Hills isn’t just for adults; there’s something for everyone in the family:

  • Kids’ Interactive Area: Young festival-goers will love the interactive kids’ zone, filled with engaging activities and fun surprises.
  • Vendor Area: Browse a variety of items for sale in the vendor area, offering a unique shopping experience with local and artisanal products.

Indoor-Outdoor Experience

This year’s Oktoberfest introduces an exciting new format with an indoor-outdoor environment at the Fountain Hills Community Center and Centennial Circle. Whether it’s rain or shine, the celebration will go on, making it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

The Fountain Hills Community Center is conveniently located at 13001 N La Montana Drive, adjacent to the Library, River of Time Museum, and the future site of the International Dark Sky Discovery Center.
