Full Moon Fitness Walks, hosted by our very own Fountain Hills Night Sky Tourist, Vicky Derksen!
While the Full Moon may be too bright for optimal stargazing, its light is perfect for illuminating your path on a night hike. Add some steps to your fitness tracker as Vicky shares fascinating lunar stories from cultures around the world and explains how some organisms are guided by the circalunar clock.
The Fall series of Full Moon Fitness Hikes will explore the Town’s FIT Interconnected Trails, with a new trail each month:
WHO THIS WALK IS FOR: This hike is designed for individuals over the age of 12 who are ready to walk at a brisk pace. It is not a leisurely stroll, so please leave strollers, wheelchairs, and pets at home.
WHAT TO BRING: Be sure to bring a red flashlight, hiking poles if needed, plenty of water, and sturdy walking shoes.
