Honoring America’s Heroes: Veterans Day Ceremony in Fountain Hills
The Town of Fountain Hills will proudly honor our nation’s heroes this Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in Fountain Park. This annual ceremony is a cherished community tradition, offering residents and visitors a meaningful opportunity to reflect, remember, and give thanks to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

This year’s event is coordinated by Tait D. Elkie, Sr. Vice Commander of American Legion Post 58, with participation from VFW Post 7507, the Marine Corps League Detachment 1439, and other local veterans’ organizations.
A Distinguished Keynote Speaker
The 2025 keynote address will be delivered by Major Ann Ching, a U.S. Army veteran and Bronze Star recipient. During her distinguished military career, Major Ching served as an Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer, deploying to Iraq from 2003 to 2004 as the only defense attorney in Northern Iraq. Her service earned her multiple Meritorious Service Medals and a Humanitarian Service Medal for her work in Japan.

Following her military career, Major Ching has continued to serve the veteran community through teaching, legal advocacy, and pro bono work, embodying the spirit of service that defines this special day.
Ceremony Highlights
This year’s program will feature remarks from Mayor Gerry Friedel, along with patriotic musical performances by Debbie Fisher and Tommy Holloway. The Patriot Guard Riders will present a flag line in honor of all who have served, while the American Legion Post 58 Color Guard will conduct the posting and retrieval of colors.
